The Lacoste fashion house has named Amy Adams as the face of their new women’s fragrance called Eau De Lacoste. The iconic sportswear brand chose Adams for her “elegance, spontaneity and effortless style.” The new fragrance is intended to capture “the sensual feeling of pure white cotton on skin.”

The French fashion house has been around since 1933 and has been a popular brand since the 1960s for their iconic polos with the green crocodile logo. The brand has recently reached major popularity over the past decade and now has stores across the globe and online.

In the past, Lacoste has featured a variety of men’s sports fragrances ranging from Essential, Essential Sport and the line of Eau De Lacoste L.12.12. The pink collection, which features Touch of Pink, is the brand’s most recent women’s fragrance line meant to “exude an aura of feel good, youthful optimism.”

Eau De Lacoste features top notes of juicy white pineapple, Calabrain mandarin and Calabrian Bergamot as well as heart notes of pineapple flower, rose, orange flower, jasmine sambad and base notes of sandalwood, vetyver, vanilla and Peru balsam. Although Adams’ style may not scream the classic preppy style for which the brand is known for, she is still excited to represent the brand. She says, “I’m so excited to be the face of Lacoste’s newest fragrance for women. Lacoste has long been established as an iconic brand and I’m honored to be a part of their latest campaign.” The 38-year-old actress has recently been evolving into quite the style icon, so it’s obvious why the French brand would choose her to represent their chic new perfume.

The brand is hoping to tap into their 10.7 million Facebook fans by promoting the fragrance early with a large scale online promotional campaign, where you can sign up for an early VIP sample. You can also catch Adams and the sparkling new scent prior to its nationwide Jan. 9 release in TV and print ads. These multiple campaigns for the brand’s fragrance will begin in the UK and make their way across the globe throughout next year.
