Alanis Morissette & Zachary Quinto join Kiehl’s for Earth Day

What do Alanis Morissette and Zachary Quinto have in common (besides some seriously awesome hair)? Kiehl’s tapped both of them to design packaging for the brand’s fifth Limited Edition Label Art series for Earth Day to benefit Recycle Across America.

For the project, Morissette and Quinto each designed a label for Kiehl’s 4.2-ounce Ultra Facial Cream that depicts their vision of social responsibility.

All proceeds from the limited-edition Ultra Facial Cream — now available online and in Kiehl’s stores nationwide — will benefit Recycle Across America. Kiehl’s has also pledged to donate $50,000 to the organization as a part of the campaign.

Why these two celebs? Both are known for their work with social causes — and both are just as concerned about the environment.

“We designed art for the jar of cream and this product is environmentally considerate,” Morissette told Variety of the project. “I love the idea of further clarifying the recycling process — it’s genius and more people will be accurately doing it.”

The former SheKnows Mommaloguer added that recycling and caring for the environment are just part of a way of life for her, husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway and son Ever Imre.

“My husband and I garden, we compost, we recycle,” she added to the trade magazine. “Oh, I can’t forget I still have my Prius! We’re doing this to keep the environment healthy for future generations.”
