SheKnows: How would you describe your style in three words?
Betsey Johnson: Ragged, raunchy and ridiculous!
SK: When did you know that you made it as a designer?
BJ: When I met Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld and they knew who I was!

SK: What’s the biggest challenge you’ve overcome?
BJ: Having breast cancer and moving on from bankruptcy.
SK: Why did you decide to do a reality series?
BJ: It was originally Lulu’s idea and I thought it might be a fun balance to the nightmare I was going through. Lulu didn’t know what to expect!
SK: What’s the best part about being a mom?
BJ: Lulu and the two grandchildren she gave me!
SK: What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
BJ: Don’t expect to run the show unless you’re paying for the show.
SK: What’s the best advice you’ve ever given someone?
BJ: Full speed ahead!
SK: Who’s your celebrity style muse?
BJ: Madonna.
SK: What’s one fashion rule every woman should break?
BJ: All of them.
SK: What’s been your proudest moment as a designer?
