Our lip plumper criteria: The criteria we used was simple. We wanted lip plumpers that weren’t sticky upon application, went on smooth and gave our lips that signature tingle indicating plumper pouts were on the way. Read on for a rundown of what beuaty products we found and then — pucker up!
DuWop Lip Venom
One of the very first beauty products on the market to promise plumper pouts, DuWop’s Lip Venom ($16) still holds its own against the influx of similar products available. Full of cinnamon, ginger and other circulation stimulating ingredients, one swipe will leave your lips bee-stung beautiful and super shiny.
Dior Lip Maximizer
We fell instantly in love with the subtle vanilla mint scent of this pleasing plumper ($30). It goes on very light with no sticky residue and though it does tingle, it doesn’t sting like some more aggressive lip plumpers can. We especially liked the fact that Lip Maximizer is not only plumping, but hydrating as well. Choose from sheer pink or sheer apricot.
Too Faced Lip Injection Extreme
A little bit goes a long way with this pout-perfecting lip gloss product ($28). We loved the instant tingle, and soon after applying it, our lips took on a pinkish hue and looked slightly fuller. A few minutes later we noticed even more of an increase in lip volume. The texture is smooth and goes on without feeling sticky.
Fusion Beauty LipFusion Lip Plump
This is a lip plumper that means business. If you want to seriously amp up the volume of your lips, this is the beauty product ($38) for you. Upon application lips begin to swell slightly. The effect is a significantly plumper pout and a touch of shine. This is also the longest lasting plumper we tried, with a full day of fuller lips.
Josie Maran Plumping Lip Gloss
Packed with marine collagen, this sweet smelling lip gloss ($20) did a good job of plumping our pout and giving our lips a nice, glossy sheen. It comes in several sheer shades that provide a hint of color and we were impressed with how hydrating this product is.
