Top-to-toe skin smoothing products

Save your skin this fall

As the weather cools down, skin gets drier — one of the many drawbacks of saying goodbye to summer. If you’re starting to feel like you can’t keep skin hydrated or looking smooth, we’re here to help with some of our favorite body buffing and moisturizing products.

Tropical twist

If you ever find yourself longing for beach weather (as a cold wind swirls around outside), you can get an instant taste of the tropics (and ultra-smooth skin) by hitting the shower with The Body Shop’s Coconut Body Scrub ($19). Coconut husks and ground shells mixed with cold pressed virgin coconut oil make for a gentle but effective way to stay smooth all over.

Hot stuff

Warm up your mornings and emerge from the shower with baby-soft skin by starting your day with Bliss Hot Salt Scrub ($36). The self-heating formula exfoliates skin with sea salts and hydrates with algae extract and glycerin. We especially like the uplifting rosemary and eucalyptus scent.

Happy hands

Don’t neglect your hands when it comes to exfoliation. They work hard and they’re often exposed to cold air for longer than the rest of your body. Keep hands smooth and soft all season with True Blue Spa 60-Second Manicure Hand Scrub ($12). Simply massage into wet hands for a full minute to reap the spa-worthy skin smoothing results.

Cherry bomb

Dry, chapped lips? It’s a common colder weather concern we all have to deal with at some point. But rather than live with a less-than-perfect pout, you can smooth your smile with Bite Beauty Whipped Cherry Lip Scrub ($18). The 100 percent all-natural cherry-flavored mousse features exfoliating beads to keep lips looking luscious.

Lemon love

Say sayonara to rough patches by keeping a steady supply of Lush Lemony Flutter ($17) close by. The mega-softening cream is meant for cuticles, but it’s great for any spots that need extra softening, like feet, heels, knees and elbows.

All-over moisture

Cold weather wreaks havoc on our skin, but this year we’ll be prepared for the worst winter has to offer. First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream ($28) will be our first line of defense against bitter wind. Colloidal oatmeal, shea butter, eucalyptus oil and other skin softening ingredients hydrate and calm extra-dry skin.
