The popularity of laser facials explained!

Why celebs love lasers

Find out how laser facials can take years off your face and why they’re a celebrity favorite.

What’s the secret behind Jennifer Aniston’s dewy, youthful complexion? She’s “obsessed with laser therapy.” Kim Kardashian also keeps her face looking flawless with laser facials, but is this popular beauty treatment right for you?

A laser facial is good for just about anybody who wants beautiful skin, according to Cindy Barshop, formerly of The Real Housewives of New York City, who owns the Completely Bare spas in NYC, which offers the service.

“The Laser Genesis Facial is recommended for anybody who wants to improve skin texture, tone and skin tightening,” Cindy says. “It helps restore the skin’s youthful glow and appearance by smoothing out uneven skin textures caused by aging and sun damage. You’ll see a more dewy, healthy complexion as large pores are reduced in size and minor imperfections are diminished.”

So does getting your skin resurfaced by lasers hurt and require major downtime to heal? Surprisingly no. It’s supposedly painless.

“The most common side effect is a slight redness that disappears within a few hours of treatment,” Barshop says. In fact, many women get laser facials the day of a big event since it leaves your skin looking so rejuvenated.

Cindy recommends getting laser facials four to six times for optimal results, but says you can see major results in just one session. “When the facial is used in conjunction with Completely Bare products, results can be enhanced by 40 percent,” she says.

A single session at Completely Bare is $275 and you can buy a pack of four sessions for $900. Would you try a laser facial? See actual results on the right!
